Edgar “Eddie” William Outlaw

Edgar William “Eddie” Outlaw, 57, of White Flash community near Mount Olive, passed away Sunday evening, Nov. 3, 2019 at Kitty Askins Hospice Center.

Eddie had worked in many capacities through the years, including Guilford East, Billy Herring Heating and Air, Mt. Olive Pickle Co., Waller’s Hardware, and the County of Duplin as a park attendant at Cabin Lake. He had also been a self-employed painter and had assisted his cousin, Jennings Outlaw, on the family farm.

Eddie was preceded in death by his parents, Rommie A. and Eula Mae Price Outlaw, and a sister, Vickie Outlaw Green. He is survived by a brother, Rommie Aldine Outlaw Jr. and wife, Beverly, of Mount Olive; an aunt and uncle, Joyce O. and William Earl Tyndall of Kinston; and several cousins and their families, including Jennings Outlaw and Shirley Betterton.

Funeral services will be at 7 p.m. Tuesday Nov. 5, at Tyndall Funeral Home, officiated by the Rev. Mark S. Hobbs, with visitation to follow. Burial will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Nov 6, in the Edgar and Nora K. Outlaw Family Cemetery on the family farm.
