Paula Sue Bauer Thrash passed away peacefully at Wake Medical Center on October 12, 2019 after battling a long illness. Her last days were spent surrounded by her family. Paula was a warrior and fought with valiant effort never once losing her faith. She touched many lives and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Paula was born on September 16, 1955 to Pauline and Conrad Bauer in Lincoln, Nebraska where she lived until her parents passed away at a very young age. She then lived with her sister, Connie and her husband, Don, and she became a part of their family. While Paula’s life ended much too soon for those who love her, she will always remain in their hearts and be remembered for her never ceasing faith and fierce determination. Paula had a kind heart and a great sense of humor. She was passionate about everything she attempted. She loved to play practical jokes, loved reading good books and was a very loyal New England Patriots fan.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, October 17, 2019 at 1:00 pm in Wayne Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, October 16, 2019 from 7 to 9 pm at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home in Goldsboro.
Paula leaves to cherish her memory, her daughter, Andrea Thrash & boyfriend, Dave Kendzierski, her daughter, Kaitlin Duong and her husband, Linden; her son, Brandon Thrash and girlfriend, Sarah Younes; her sister, Connie Minnish; her niece, Angie Lancaster and family, Jay, Heather and Trent; her nephew, Jeffery Minnish and family, Christina, Jackson, Lauren, Colin and Dylan. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother-in-law, Don Minnish.
