Etta Lancaster Velasquez “Punk”, 78, of Dudley passed away Monday at her residence. She was the daughter of the late Thurman and Kathleen Lancaster, and is the wife of Rosalio Velasquez. Mrs. Velasquez had attended Ft. Run Church of God, and was retired from Harris Teeter.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday evening from 7:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held Thursday at 11:00 A.M. at Wayne Memorial Park with Pastor Marvin Wiggins officiating.
In addition to her husband, Mrs. Velasquez is survived by 2 sons, Ricky Lee Lancaster of Dudley and John Michael Millard of Goldsboro; 2 grandchildren, Ricky Lancaster of Goldsboro and Kristy Thompson and husband, Clint of Goldsboro; 2 great grandchildren, Tyler and Trevor Thompson both of Goldsboro; special nieces, Phyllis Cheney and Elaine Lozier both of Dudley.
Mrs. Velasquez was preceded in death by a grandson, Travis Lancaster.
