Marvin Ray Daw, 68, passed away Monday, September 2, 2019 at his home surrounded by his family. Born in Tarboro on September 3, 1950, he was the son of the late Marvin C. Daw and Margaret Sox Daw.
Marky was as a member of Free Chapel PFWB Church. He was a simple man who loved his family dearly and was an avid fisherman.
The family will receive friends from 12:30 – 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 7, 2019 at Free Chapel Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church followed by a service to celebrate his life at 2:00 p.m. in the sanctuary with his son, Jeff Daw officiating. Burial will follow at Wayne Memorial Park.
Marky is survived by his wife, Diane Jones Daw; daughter, Melissa Carlsson and husband Dustin; son, Jeff Daw and wife Becky; grandchildren, Benjamin Carlsson, Rayah Carlsson, Samantha Baker and husband, Greg, Madison Daw, Chris Daw and wife, Freya; great-grandchildren, Owen Baker, Harper Daw, and one on the way; brothers, Bob Daw and wife, Phyllis and Tony Daw and wife, Linda; sister-in-law, Robin Daw; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Timmy Daw.
