Shirlene Long, was born, April 30, 1961 in Wayne County, NC and she answered the Master’s call and departed this life on Aug 11, 2019 in Goldsboro, NC.
Cherishing her memories are her parents, Shirley and Joseph Cox of NC, three children, Vernon Jay Long Jr. of NC, Eric Larmar Long of VA, and Lashanta Louise Walker of VA,brother, Terry Lemont Cox of NC, sister Geraldine Ford of VA, finance Tim Smith of NC, daughter in-law, Nneka Long, son-in-law Malik Walker and 6 grandkids and a hosts of nieces, nephews, cousin and friends.
Shirlene cooking and sense of humor will never be forgotten. She touched so many people lives and her presence will be missed!
Shirlene Long fought a good fight to the end and she will be missed by many.
Funeral services will be held on Friday at 11 am at the Saints Delight United Holy Church, 976 La Grange Rd, La Grange, NC.
Bishop Devin Pickett will officiate.
Public viewing will be observed from 10 until 11 am at the church.
Interment will follow in the Wayne Memorial Park, Dudley, NC.
