Mildred Crosby Rast, 83, passed away on Sunday, August 28, 2016 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born in Orangeburg, South Carolina on July 30, 1933 to the late James B. and Leah Lucile Mills Crosby.
Mildred was the kindest and most loving mother and grandmother and a great friend to everyone. She will be missed by all who were blessed enough to know her.
Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, August 31, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. in Wayne Memorial Park.
Mildred is survived by her husband of 64 years, Lonnie D. Rast; children, Shari Smith and husband Jeff of Pikeville, Larry Rast and wife Debbie of Goldsboro, and Susan Brock and husband Steve of Goldsboro; grandchildren, Stephanie Sauls (Michael), Chris Smith, Matthew Rast (Trudi), Robert Rast, and Camille Stocks; and great-grandchildren, Brooklyn Sauls, Bryleigh Sauls, Maci Rast, Kase Rast, Garrett Stocks and Tucker. She is also survived by other special family members, Dee and G.C. Wood and family, Shirley Kee, Beverly Kee, and Cindy Thigpen.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, August 30, 2016 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home and other times at her home.
