Billy Ray Adams passed away on Friday, June 7, 2019 at the North Carolina Veterans Home in Kinston.
Billy was born in Johnston County on May 10, 1931 to the late David Clarence Adams and Annie May Lynch Adams. He was married for 63 years to the late Beulah L. Adams. Billy proudly served his country in the United States Air Force and later retired as a Master Sergeant from the North Carolina National Guard.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, June 9, 2019 from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home and other times at the home of Bobby and Susan Adams. A graveside service will be held on Monday, June 10, 2019 at 12:00 noon in Wayne Memorial Park.
Billy is survived by his daughter, Cathy Marlow and husband Jeff of Rosewood; sons, Bobby Adams and wife Susan of Goldsboro and Steve Adams and wife Michelle of Goldsboro; grandchildren, Jennifer Fink and husband Dustin, Carrie Adams, Joshua Johnston, Jonathan Cruse, Bryce Adams and Sarabeth Adams; and great-grandchildren, Marlo Fink, Brody Fink, Bradley Johnston and Gracie Johnston. He is also survived by his brother, Jimmy Adams and wife Nancy and sister, Hilda Pittman.
