Perry Roger Willis, Sr.

Perry Roger Willis, Sr, 82, passed away on Thursday, May 30, 2019 at the Brian Center.

Perry was born in Cumberland County on October 10, 1936 to the late Walter and Blanche Culbreth Willis. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy and retired after 22 years of faithful service. Perry protected his country and her allies during the Vietnam War. His valor and skill was recognized with numerous decorations, including a Navy Commendation Medal. Perry was a member of Faith Free Will Baptist Church.

The family will receive friends on Monday, June 3, 2019 at Seymour Funeral Home from 12:00 – 1:00 p.m. followed by a service at 1:00 p.m. to celebrate Perry’s life in the chapel with Rev. Walter Sloan and Rev. Dann Patrick officiating. Interment will be at 2:00 p.m. in the Eastern Carolina State Veteran’s Cemetery.

Perry is survived by his wife, Anny Willis; son, Perry R. Willis, Jr. and wife Shelly of Goldsboro; and two grandchildren, Arwen Willis and Gabe Willis.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given in his memory to Faith Free Will Baptist Church, 1200 W. Grantham Street, Goldsboro, NC 27530.
