Corina “Renn” Howell Sauls, 92, passed away Monday, March 11, 2019 at the Brian Center. Born in Wayne County on January 22, 1927 she was the daughter of the late Bennie Howell and Lillian Durham Howell. Renn retired from civil service as a communications clerk.
A graveside service to celebrate Renn’s life will be held on Thursday, March 14, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. at Wayne Memorial Park with Rev. Fred Crank officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the cemetery.
Renn is survived by her brother, Bennie Howell, Jr. of Goldsboro and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husbands, Jim Sauls and Horace Whitaker; brothers, Frank Howell, Jay Howell, and Bud Howell; sisters, Ester Howell, Delma H. Ingram, Loyce H. Mihalka, Bessie H. Holmes, Elsie H. Herring, and Grace H. Farfour.
