Edna Earle Bryan Grantham, 89, passed away on Sunday morning at Wayne UNC Healthcare surrounded by her family.
Mrs. Grantham was born in Wayne County to the late Lisker and Maude Creel Bryan. She was married to the late Robert E. Grantham, Sr. who was a long-time farmer in the Grantham Community. Mrs. Grantham was the rock of her family, her husband, children and grandchildren knew that she loved them with all her heart and truly was a blessing to them. She was a member of Selah Christian Church. Mrs. Grantham also enjoyed yard work and gardening, as was always reflected in her beautiful yard.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, January 3, 2019 from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. at Seymour Funeral Home followed by a service to celebrate her life at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel with Rev. Patrick Muston officiating. Interment will be at the family farm in the Grantham Family Cemetery.
Mrs. Grantham is survived by her son, Robert E. “Bud” Grantham, Jr. and wife, Angie of Goldsboro; daughters, Mary Lynn Chase of LaGrange and Rose Zibelin of North Wilkesboro; grandchildren, Emily Zibelin, Chris Zibelin, Matthew Chase (Laura), Melissa Chase Peterson (Pehr), Kaysey Grantham Jackson (Sebastian) and Robert E. “Bo” Grantham III; and great-grandchildren, Odyn Peterson, Gunnar Peterson, Soren Peterson, Signe Peterson, Brody Chase, Bryn Chase and Cason Jackson. She is also survived by her sisters, Virginia Sullivan and Maxine Lipscomb.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Marie Brown and brother, Carroll Bryan.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Selah Christian Church, Attn: Jean Hollowell, 3304 Stevens Mill Road, Goldsboro, NC 27530.
