Charles L. Grady, 87, passed away on Monday, December 3, 2018. Charles was born June 17, 1931 in Wayne County to the late Walter Bryant Grady and Sarah Frances Fields Grady.
Charles proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps during the Korean War.
He worked 27 years with the International Brotherhood Of Electrical Workers Local 495 as an electrician.
Charles loved browsing through flea markets and an auction always piqued his interest. He enjoyed collecting clocks, watches, knives and guns.
Charles was a man who liked working with his hands. Time spent out in the shop piddling always brought a smile. He loved shopping at Sam’s Club and fish on Friday’s was a highlight to the week.
A service to honor the life of Charles L. Grady will be held Thursday, December 6, 2018 at 10 a.m. at Eastern Carolina State Veterans Cemetery.
Charles is survived by three children, Larry Charles Grady, Alex Lee Grady and Sarah Jean Willoughby. In addition to his parents, a daughter, Gay Denise Grady, preceded Charles in death.
