William Roger Bedford, age 67, died Saturday evening at his residence. Born in Wayne County, he was the son of the late Elijah and Letha Mae Capps Bedford. He was also preceded in death by his sons, Scott Patrick Bedford and Chad Alan Bedford. Roger was retired from the U.S. Air Force after serving his country for 23 years. He was an avid hunter and a member of Jefferson United Methodist Church.
A service to celebrate Roger’s life will be held Thursday at 7:00pm at Jefferson United Methodist Church with Rev. Eric N. Lindblade, Jr. officiating. The family will remain at the church to greet friends immediately following the service.
Roger is survived by his wife, Carla Patrick Bedford; a son, Jason Roger Bedford and wife, Kristina; and two grandchildren, Emily Gray Bedford and Kirsten Marie Bayes.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Jefferson United Methodist Church, 1101 N. Jefferson Ave., Goldsboro, North Carolina 27530.
