Grace Hazel Williams

Mother Grace Hazel Williams, 80, of 114  Randall Lane passed from labor to reward Sunday at her residence.

She was born Sept. 5, 1938 in Wayne County to the late Minnie Williams.

Her life’s  devotion, service to God and mankind will be celebrated Friday at 11 AM at the St. Mark Church of Christ with Bishop Alton A. Smith officiating. Her mortal remains will be laid to rest in the Elmwood Cemetery.

Mother Williams leaves precious memories to her beloved brother Larry Gene Williams, Sr., and wife Belinda; Her nieces and nephews Larry Williams, Jr., of Birmingham, AL, Dr. Chandra Williams Roberts (Jason) of Jacksonville, FLA, Dr. Channa Williams of Michigan, Vicky Franklin (Kermit), Felicia Atkins (Ervin), Yolanda Pate, Brian McGlothan, of Goldsboro; Kenyatta Robinson (Anthony) of Huntsville, AL, Phillip Pate of Oklahoma, Bobby Leach of Philadelphia, PA, a special son, Gregory Darden of Goldsboro, NC; A host of other loving relatives and friends.

Mother Williams will lie in state Thursday from 6 PM until 8 PM with the family present to receive friends from 7 PM until 8 PM at the St. Mark Church of Christ. The family will assemble at the residence in preparation for the funeral procession.

Arrangements are entrusted to the Haskins Funeral Home.
