Timothy Ansley “Tim” Hewes, 60, of Goldsboro, passed away in the late hours of Sunday, August 26, 2018. Tim was born December 28, 1957 in Lenoir County. His parents, William James and Shirley Hoffman James, preceded Tim in death.
Tim worked many years in outdoor advertising and most recently worked with Long’s Plant Farm.
Described as a homebody, nothing was better to Tim than the comforts of home and a gathering of close family and friends. He enjoyed online gaming and the many friends he made playing Eve.
Tim liked his music heavy. Nothing was better to Tim than the sounds of Pantera and Ozzy Osborne. The louder the music, the better it was for Tim.
Tim was captivated by big, loud motors. Weekends were spent in front of the television watching the race. A good race for Tim was when an Earnhardt was running up front. Tim had a longtime fascination with Harley’s. Although he never owned one himself, the lure of a motorcycle always got Tim’s attention. He often dreamed of having his own Harley Davidson and loved attending Bike Week at Myrtle Beach.
A service to celebrate Tim’s life will be announced in the coming days.
Tim is survived by his wife of 22 years, Lisa Daw Hewes; daughter, Lacey Hewes Carroll and husband, Alex; step-daughter, Amanda Shivar and husband, Stephen; sister, Kimberly James Shivar; and three grandchildren, A.J., Caden and Taylor.
Tim’s family would appreciate memorials be directed to Rouse Funeral Home to assist with expenses. Online condolences may be expressed at www.rousefh.com. Arrangements are entrusted to Rouse Funeral Home, La Grange.
