Tamara Harrell “Tammi” Howard, 55, of La Grange, passed away Saturday, July 30, 2016. Tammi was born July 23, 1961 in Lenoir County to the late Rev. Bobby Earl Harrell and Helen Shivar Harrell. Tammi graduated from Southern Wayne High School and attended Mt. Olive College. She worked twenty plus years with Goldsboro Podiatry and most recently worked with RHA Howell-Bear Creek. Quiet, kind and soft-spoken, Tammi loved all unconditionally. In today’s world, Tammi was that rare jewel who always looked for something positive in all circumstances. Tammi always put everyone ahead of her self and quietly worked to help those in need. She cherished her role as “Gigi” to her grandsons. Her grandsons were bright rays of sunshine to Tammi’s life. Always with a camera in hand, Tammi loved photography especially when she was taking pictures of her grandsons.
A service to remember and celebrate Tammi’s life will be held Thursday, August 4, 2016 at 7 p.m. from Rouse Funeral Home with Rev. Dr. Mallie Hinnant officiating. Interment will be Friday at 10 a.m. from Fairview Cemetery.
Tammi is survived by two children, Heather Wade Webster and Skyler Dennis Creech; two precious grandchildren, Brody Michael Webster and Brantlee Christian Webster; brother, John Harrell; and Heather’s paternal grandmother, Lillian Wade. In addition to her parents, Tammi was preceded in death by her husband, Michael Wade
Tammi’s family will receive friends Thursday following the service. Memorials may be made to the Bethel United Methodist Church, c/o Jackie Overbee, 111 Cassedale Drive, Goldsboro, NC 27534. Arrangements are with Rouse Funeral Home, La Grange.
