M. Ann Penuel McKeel, 75, passed away suddenly on Monday, July 16, 2018.

Ann was born in Wayne County on May 3, 1943 to the late Edgar and Mildred Howell Penuel. For many years, Ann worked as a beautician in Goldsboro. Ann was a member of First Baptist Church in Goldsboro. She was also a member of the Goldsboro Rescue Auxiliary. Her most significant role in life and what she did best was being a loving wife and mother.

A service to celebrate Ann’s life will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, July 19, 2018 at First Baptist Church with Dr. Glenn Phillips and Rev. Scott Trailkill officiating. Interment will follow in Wayne Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Wednesday, July 18, 2018 from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home.

Ann is survived by her husband of 46 years, Doug McKeel; children, James “Tim” Thomas and wife Lisa, Kathy Thomas Anders and Patricia Roberts; brother, Glen Penuel and wife Janet; grandchildren, Jeremy Anders, Clint Roberts and Tiffany Roberts; and a great-grandchild, Jackson Anders.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Edgar A. Penuel, Elton Ray Penuel and William Lawrence Penuel.

Flowers are welcome or memorials may be made to Helping Hands Ministry at First Baptist Church, 125 S. John Street, Goldsboro, NC 27530.
