Dale Wayne Derflinger, Sr., age 57, passed away on Sunday, May 13, 2018.
He was born April 14, 1961 to Rolland and Anita Derflinger (deceased) of Ferndale, MD. Dale enjoyed boating, crabbing, fishing, and wildlife. Dale retired as a Corporal from the Anne Arundel County Detention Center and was currently serving as a Sergeant, Wake County Corrections.
He is survived by his wife, Kelly; his son, Dale Jr., his father, Roland; his stepmother, Stella; his brother, Dennis; and sister, Tina McBride.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 19, 2018 at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, 2920 NC Hwy 42 West, Clayton, NC. Burial will follow at Mont Lawn Cemetery in Raleigh.
The family will greet friends at the church at the time of services at 10:30 am. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society.
