David Gene Guess, age 71, died Friday at home. He was born in Ethel, WV to the late Lloyd and Goldie Meeks Guess and was married to Marlina J. Guess. He was the Owner/Operator of College Fast Lube in Mt. Olive.
A funeral service will be held Monday at 7:00pm at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home of Goldsboro. The family will be receiving friends immediately following the service and at other times will be at the home of his daughter, Lisa. A graveside service will be held Tuesday at 11:00am at Wayne Memorial Park.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Lisa & David Gammon; three sons and daughter-in-law, David Gene Guess, II, Brady Keyser and Kevin & Michelle Guess; step-son, Jeffrey Vankovich; brother, Tojo Guess of Lake, WV; sister, Marilyn White of Lake, WV; grandchildren, Joshua Gammon, Heather Woodall, Jenna Gammon, Dalton Guess, Slade Guess, Ryder Guess, Jessica Keyser, Nathan Guess, Julian Ramey, Cayden Ramey, Mia Bella Ramey, Madison Vankovich, Kylie Vankovich, Brooke Vankovich, Joey Vankovich, Jr., Larry Vankovich, Jr., Savanah Vankovich, and Brianna Vankovich; and four great-grandchildren, Lila Elliott, Leah Elliott, Cody Woodall and Aiden Woodall.
