Helen Owens Reeves, 86, of Mount Olive went to be with her Lord and Savior Saturday morning, May 05, 2018 at home surrounded by her loving family.
The family will receive friends Sunday, May 06, 2018 from 6 until 6:45 p.m. at Howell Funeral Home & Crematory in Goldsboro. The Homegoing Service will follow at 7 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. A private family burial will be held at Britt Family Cemetery in Mount Olive.
Mrs. Reeves was born in Winston Salem on July 28, 1931 to the late Jesse and Mary Griffith Owens. She was a faithful member of Manley’s Grove Pentecostal Holiness Church where she served as church pianist for 25 years and assistant Sunday school teacher.
She is survived by her loving children, Danny Reeves and wife, Dottie of Lexington, Bobby Reeves and wife, Marie of Dudley, Deborah Nichols and husband, Allen of Goldsboro and Timothy Reeves and wife, Alica of Mount Olive; ten grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Reeves was preceded in death by her husband, Richard H. Reeves; her son, Billy Reeves; her daughter, Janie Maggard; two grandchildren; three sisters and a brother.
The family is in the care of Howell Funeral Home & Crematory in Goldsboro.
