Judith Grace King, aged 81, went to meet her maker surrounded by her family on March 25th 2018 after a long struggle with Parkinson’s disease. Judith was born on January 15, 1937. She was the daughter of the late Fredrick and Ruth Kleinofen. She was a member of the Oak Forest Church of Christ.
On April 20, 1957, she married the love of her life, Thomas Edward King, a member of the USAF. They moved to Spain, then to Oklahoma, North Dakota, and Virginia. She finally settled with her husband and family in Goldsboro, North Carolina.
Judith worked many years for the Wayne County Public School system as both an assistant and library aide. She then went to work on base at the library. She later went to work for the financial office on base. She retired in January of 2007.
Judith loved animals and was a member of the Wayne County Humane Society, Berkley Civitans and was very active in the Girl Scouts.
She was a member of the Oak Forest Church of Christ.
Judith is preceded in death by her parents, husband, and daughter Laura Cox. She is survived by her brother John Kleinofen, her children, Thomas King, Linda Gray and her daughter Katrina, Frederick and his two sons Tyson and Trent, Andrew and his wife Courtney and their two children Maxton and Elizabeth and a granddaughter Amanda Murphy and her husband Stephen and their daughter Alyssa.
The visitation will be Wednesday, March 28th for 6-8 at Seymour Funeral Home. The funeral will be Thursday, March 29th at Oak Forest Church of Christ at 1:00 pm. Interment will be in Wayne Memorial Park.
