Wilmer Ray Brock, 87, of Grantham passed away Sunday at Wayne U.N.C. Healthcare. He is the son of the late John and Vonnie Brock, and husband of Lola Mae Brock. Mr. Brock was a retired farmer.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday at 2:00 P.M. in the chapel of Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home with Bishop Brent Collins officiating. Committal services will follow in Wayne Memorial Park. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service.
In addition to his wife, Mr. Brock is survived by two daughters, Frances Smith of Goldsboro and Kay Darden and husband, Robert of Mt. Olive; two sons, Howard Brock and wife, Janet of Grantham and Roger Brock and wife Sherry of Grantham; two sisters, Merlene Best of Grantham and Linda Daniels of Grantham; two brothers, Mangrum Brock and wife Joyce of Grantham and Billy Brock and wife, Barbara of Dudley; 10 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren; and a great great grandchild.
In addition to his parents a son, Delma Ray Brock and sister, Doris Britt preceded him in death.
