Mr. Ozzie M. Murphy Sr. 85 of 406 Whitfield Drive, passed on Saturday, January 27, 2018 at Wayne UNC Health Care, Goldsboro, NC. The celebration of his life will be held on Friday, February 2, 2018 at 11:00am at St. Mark Church of Christ DOC, 700 W. Ash Street, Goldsboro, NC with Bishop Alton A. Smith officiating. He will be laid to rest on Monday, February 5, 2018 at 10:00am with military honors at Eastern Carolina State Veterans Cemetery, 164 Longs Plant Farm Road, Goldsboro, NC. There will be a viewing held on Thursday, February 1, 2018 from 3:00pm to 5:30pm at J.B. Rhodes Funeral Home & Cremations, Goldsboro, NC and a visitation will be held on Thursday, February 1, 2018 from 6:00pm to 8:00pm at St. Mark Church of Christ DOC, Goldsboro, NC.
He was born on August 1, 1932 in Wayne County, NC to Matthew Murphy and Minnie Bell Parker Murphy. He is survived by his loving wife, Juanita Pearsall Murphy of the home; and two childen.
