James Dennis Hill, 67, passed away Monday, January 22, 2018 at Vidant Medical Center in Greenville surrounded by his family.
Dennis was born in Wayne County, NC on October 29, 1950 to the late James Irwin Hill and Minnie Smith Hill. He had volunteered for many years with the Faro Fire Department and was a jack of all trades who could fix almost anything.
The family will receive friends Friday, January 26, 2018 from 1:00 – 2:00 PM followed by a graveside service at 2:30 PM at Wayne Memorial Park with Rev. Greg Moser officiating.
Dennis is survived by his wife, Peggy Hill; daughters, Holly Medlin and husband Chuck; Lisa West and husband Bryan and T.J. Rawls and husband Jamie; son, Dennis Hill, Jr. and wife Susan; and his grandchildren, Matthew, Marcy, Thomas, Zachary, Landon, Jack, Noah, Jonnie James (J.J.). He is also survived by his sisters, Donna Cuthbertson and husband Barry and Terri Johnson and husband Louie.
In addition to his parents, Dennis was preceded in death by his wife of twenty three years and the mother of his children, Marcene Hill.
