James Craig Ward, 59, passed away suddenly on Sunday at his home.
Craig, affectionally called “Turtle” by his friends, was born in Wayne County on September 21, 1958 to Melba Ginn Ward of Goldsboro and the late Daniel Ward. He had owned and operated Inland Boatworks.
A private committal service for the family will be held on Tuesday, January 23, 2018 at Willow Dale Cemetery followed by a memorial service at 2:00 p.m. in the sanctuary of First Baptist Church in Goldsboro with Dr. Glenn Phillips officiating. The family will greet friends following the service at the church.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his sister, Janet Royal and husband Fuller of Whiteville; brother, Daniel A. Ward, Jr. and wife Charlene of Wake Forest; and four nieces, Allison Royal, Sarah Royal, Lillie Royal, and Natalie Royal.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given in his memory to First Baptist Church, 125 S. John Street, Goldsboro, NC 27530.
