Edgar Earl Strickland, 80, passed away on Friday, November 10, 2017 at Wayne UNC Health Care in Goldsboro.
A private service will be held for his family and friends.
He was born in Wayne County on July 14, 1937 to the late Willie and Annie Conway Strickland.
He is survived by nieces, Sandra Colbert and Jennifer (Jim) Hobkirk and other nieces and nephews and his second family at the Meadows.
The family is in the care of Howell Funeral Home and Crematory in Goldsboro.
