Silas Pate Atkinson, 64, passed away suddenly on Sunday, October 29, 2017 at his home.
Silas was born in Wayne County on May 21, 1953 to the late Payton Lee Atkinson, Sr. and Beatrice Howell Atkinson. He had worked as a farmer.
Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, November 1, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. in Evergreen Memorial Cemetery. The family will greet friends following the service at the cemetery.
Silas is survived by his brother, Payton L. Atkinson, Jr. of Princeton; sisters, Eloise Stancil of Kenly and Chellie Price of Benson; and his half-brother, Charlie Bass, Jr. of Princeton. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews including: Joshua, Taylor, and Hunter Atkinson.
