Elnora Brogden, age 80, died Monday at Wayne Memorial Hospital. Born in Duplin County, she was the daughter of Major and Mary Lou Carr Barwick. Retired from A&K Grill, she was a member of Bethel Church in Goldsboro. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Gene Vermont Brogden and her son, Michael Wayne Brogden.
Funeral Services will be held Friday at 2:00 pm at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Wayne Memorial Park. The family will visit with family and friends from 12:00 to 2:00 prior to the service. At other times, the family will be at the home of Eddie Brogden, 1132 Mt. Carmel Church Road, Pikeville.
Mrs. Brogden is survived by her sons & daughters-in-law, Eddie & Angela Brogden of Pikeville, Glenn Brogden of Pikeville and Paul & Leah Brogden of Goldsboro; her daughter & son-in -law, Barbara Jean & Ronnie Reese; 14 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.
