Essie Hollingsworth Reeves, passed away on Wednesday, June 1, 2016 at Rex UNC Healthcare in Raleigh.
Essie was born in Wayne County on April 8, 1934 to the late Harvey Hollingsworth and Essie Reaves Hollingsworth. Essie was married to the late Henry Aubrey Reeves.
A service celebrating Essie’s life will be held by the graveside at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, June 3, 2016 at Elmwood Cemetery in Fremont with Rev. Dr. Keith Hudson officiating.
Essie is survived by her son, Aubrey Kent Reeves and wife, Betty Jean of Pikeville; two grandchildren, Paige R. Hudson and husband, Keith of Asheboro and Travis Reeves and wife, Ragan of Rosewood; two great-grandchildren, Elijah Hudson and Taylor Hudson; and a special niece, Sherry Formy-Duval of Kinston.
In addition to her parents and husband, Essie was preceded in death by a sister, Hilda Langston.
The family will receive friends Friday following the service at the cemetery and at other times at the home of Kent Reeves.
